TechSandBox Adds Product Development Veteran to Board

TechSandBox, the MetroWest innovation center for science- and technology-based startups, announced that it added Randy McDonald, President and CEO of Tri-Star Design to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. McDonald founded Tri-Star Design over 20 years ago in order to serve companies that need complex digital and analog electronics and electro-mechanics in a variety of process technologies. His firm has developed products for dozens of brand name companies in medical devices, robotics, wireless communications and consumer market segments.

Prior to founding Tri-Star, Mr. McDonald worked for Bytex Corporation and Motorola. “TechSandBox has been carefully crafting and growing its Board” said Barbara Finer, Founder and CEO of TechSandBox. “Our Board are all very active and, by design, representative of regional stakeholders. Randy adds the technical perspective as well as that of a company growing within MetroWest.”
